Mar Palace Copacabana Hotel - Rio de Janeiro

It has outstandingly accommodating staff and boasts pleasant views of the sea.

There was fab food, the staff was professional.

Breakfast was delicious and satisfactory, appreciated the location.

the hotel was a nice comfy base for enjoying a good area, right by a street market with handmade things and copacabana beach & restaurants. the room overlooking the sea was exceptionally large. it was in a great location a few steps away from mundial.

Super location, centrally located on the Copacabana, everything can be easily reached from there. Internet has also become much better: very reliable and fast!

This time we had a room in the back and looked at a very unattractive wall. During carnival the prices were very high - like everywhere in Rio.

Super price-performance ratio. Situated in the middle of Copacabana in the second row to the beach. From there everything can be easily reached (centre, sights, Ipanema).

W-Lan in the rooms very bad. The equipment is a bit outdated. But everything else is great!

The rooms had no daylight because they were inside a shaft. That should have been communicated.

The so-called fitness center has barely functional equipment!!! The wifi connection is utterly unreliable for any serious use, unacceptable in today's world!!!

I liked the professionalism and friendly disposition of the reception staff at the front desk, the restaurant staff, and hotel room cleaner. Everyone was very kind and helpful at the front desk. They helped to organize my one day tour trip to Cocovado, Christ Redeemer, and Sugar Loaf as well as a helicopter ride to Christ Redeemer. The staff at the front desk tried several times to arrange for me to do hang gliding, but the hang glide instructor had to cancel my hang gliding experience, because the weather was not good during that time. But the staff at the front desk called the hang gliding instructor many times so that I could hang glide. Never got to do the hang gliding, but I appreciated the staff trying to help me achieve that goal. The next time I travel to Rio, I plan to stay at the Mar Palace Copacabana Hotel again. And it is just a 5 minute walk to Copacabana Beach. Again, the staff at Mar Palace hotel was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to other people thinking about traveling to Rio. Very close to the beach

A lot of traffic and a little unsafe in the evening.

The rooftop pool was great for a quick dip after a long day. The view of Christ the Redeemer was fantastic from our room, and the nearby market on Sundays was a delicious experience. The accommodation was roomy and comfortable for our family.

Good Location

The staff could not care less about customers. The hotel has a nice lobby but rooms are very disappointing with several disfunctions and very noisy. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel albeit it claims to be.

The location is super central, the beds mega comfortable and from the window we could even see the Christ :) . The room cleaning is super fast and reliable.

The staff is quite unfriendly and not very helpful with questions about Rio. A little hello and bye if you passed the reception would not have asked too much ;) . Air conditioning in the restaurant looks very cold, but is reduced to demand (although a bit grumpy) :D
